Project Overview
Motivated by the rehabilitation needs of my paralysed grandfather, this project aims to build a simple, waterproof treadmill housed inside a hydrotherapy tank. The design allows patients to walk with reduced stress on joints while benefiting from the natural resistance of water. An adjustable water level enables different therapy intensities, while AI-based gait analysis provides feedback on movement patterns to track recovery progress. By focusing on simplicity, affordability, and ease of use, the project hopes to make aquatic therapy more accessible outside specialized clinics.
Key Features
- Waterproof mechanical treadmill inside a hydrotherapy tank
- Adjustable water level for varying therapy intensity
- AI-based gait analysis for tracking patient movement
- Compact design aimed at home or clinic use
